Stardom Employment Consultants (“Stardom,” “we,” “us”) is a staffing and recruiting agency based in Fresno, California. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It covers visitors to our website, job candidates and applicants, temporary employees we place, and our business (client) contacts.
Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect the following categories of personal information:
- Contact and inquiry details — when you submit a contact, inquiry, job-application, become-a-consultant, or newsletter form: your name, email address, phone number, and any message or details you provide.
- Candidate and applicant information — the résumé, work history, education, certifications, skills, and any cover note you submit when applying for a role or joining our talent network.
- Onboarding and payroll information — if we place you in a position, we collect the information needed to employ and pay you, which may include your Social Security number, government-issued identification, date of birth, home address, and bank/direct-deposit details.
- Business contact information — for our client companies and their representatives: name, business email, phone number, job title, and company details.
- Information from other sources — to identify potential candidates and client companies, we may obtain professional contact information (such as name, work email, phone, job title, and employer) from professional data providers and public professional sources.
Sensitive Personal Information
Some of the information above — your Social Security number, government-issued identification, and financial-account (direct-deposit) details — is considered “sensitive” personal information. We collect it only from temporary employees we place, and only to perform the employment services you have asked us to provide and to meet our legal obligations (payroll, tax reporting, employment eligibility verification, and, where applicable, background checks conducted by third-party vendors). We do not use or disclose this information to infer characteristics about you or for any purpose beyond providing those services and meeting those obligations, and we do not sell it. Social Security numbers are encrypted where we store them and are never required to log in to our website.
How We Use Your Information
- Respond to your inquiries and provide staffing and recruiting services.
- Match candidates with job opportunities and present candidates to client employers.
- Onboard, employ, and pay temporary employees, and meet related tax and legal obligations.
- Send newsletters and job alerts you have opted into (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- Operate, secure, and improve our website and services.
- Comply with the law and enforce our agreements.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own direct marketing. We share it only as needed to provide our services and run our business, with the following categories of recipients:
- Client employers — we share candidate information with the companies considering you for a role.
- Service providers — our payroll processor, applicant-tracking system, email/communications providers, cloud hosting, and similar vendors who act on our behalf.
- Professional advisors and authorities — accountants, lawyers, insurers, and government agencies where required by law or to protect our rights.
Where We Get Your Information
We collect most information directly from you. For recruiting, we also obtain professional contact information about potential candidates and client companies from professional data providers and public professional sources. If you are contacted this way and would prefer not to hear from us, let us know using the contact details below and we will remove you.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above. In general: candidate and business-contact records are kept while our relationship is active and for a reasonable period afterward in case a suitable opportunity arises; payroll and tax-related records (including Social Security numbers) are kept only as long as required by employment and tax law; and newsletter/marketing details are kept until you unsubscribe. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
Your Choices and California Privacy Rights
You can unsubscribe from any marketing email at any time using the link in the message. Subject to your rights under California law, you may also ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you have the right not to be treated differently for exercising these rights.
To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting and will respond as required by applicable law.
Cookies and Tracking
Our website uses only essential cookies and similar local-storage technologies needed for basic functionality (such as keeping you signed in to secure areas and remembering that you have dismissed our cookie notice). To understand how visitors use our site, we use a privacy-friendly analytics service (Vercel Web Analytics) that does not use cookies and does not identify individual visitors — we see only aggregate information such as which pages are visited, the type of device and browser used, and how visitors found us. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not track your activity across other websites. Some pages embed third-party content — for example, video thumbnails or players from YouTube (Google) on our podcast pages — and those providers may receive your IP address and set their own cookies when that content loads.
Do Not Track
Our website does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” signals from web browsers.
Children’s Privacy
Our services are intended for adults in the workforce. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the revised policy here with a new “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify subscribers by email.
