ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing client company in the Fresno area. In this role, you will support the accounting team with day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all reporting functions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and support
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations
• Maintain the general ledger and investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and internal reports
• Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
• Collaborate with senior accounting staff and respond to internal and external audit requests

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
• 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred; recent graduates with internship experience encouraged to apply
• Solid understanding of GAAP principles and general ledger functions
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
