Group Controller

Stardom Employment Consultants is partnering with an established organization seeking an experienced Group Controller to oversee accounting operations and financial reporting across multiple entities or business units.

This is a senior-level accounting leadership opportunity for someone with strong multi-entity accounting experience, financial reporting expertise, and a proven ability to lead accounting teams while partnering closely with executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounting operations across multiple entities, companies, or business units
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and management reports
• Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and eliminations
• Ensure accurate general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow reporting, and financial analysis
• Analyze financial results, trends, and budget-to-actual variances
• Partner with executive leadership on financial performance and strategic initiatives
• Coordinate annual audits and work closely with external auditors and tax professionals
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable accounting standards
• Oversee cash management and working capital activities
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members
• Improve accounting systems, reporting processes, and operational efficiencies
• Support acquisitions, integrations, or new business entities as the organization grows

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred
• Previous Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior accounting leadership experience
• Strong multi-entity accounting and consolidated financial reporting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and general ledger accounting
• Experience leading month-end and year-end close
• Experience managing and developing accounting teams
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis experience
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems
• CPA or CMA preferred, but not required
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
