Controller – Agriculture (Farming + Processing) | Central CA
We’re hiring a Controller for a large-scale, vertically integrated agricultural company operating thousands of acres across nuts, fruit, and vegetables, with full processing and packing operations.
This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing all accounting, financial reporting, and operational finance across a complex, asset-heavy environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead full financial reporting and close (monthly/quarterly/annual)
Oversee grower accounting, crop costing, and inventory valuation
Manage cost accounting across farming and processing operations
Partner with operations to drive margin, yield, and cost insights
Own budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Ensure GAAP compliance, internal controls, and audit readiness
Lead and develop the accounting team
What We’re Looking For
8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong background in agriculture, food production, or manufacturing
Expertise in inventory, cost accounting, and fixed assets
Experience with Famous ERP (highly preferred) or similar systems
CPA strongly preferred
