Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Coordinator with construction industry experience to join a growing team. This role is responsible for managing project billing, supporting accounting operations, and ensuring accurate invoicing related to construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with construction billing processes, including progress billing and lien documentation, and be comfortable working closely with project managers and accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process construction project billings, including progress billing and time & materials invoices
• Review contracts and job details to ensure accurate billing according to project terms
• Coordinate with project managers and accounting teams to gather billing information
• Track and maintain billing schedules, change orders, and project documentation
• Assist with AIA billing and lien waivers when applicable
• Monitor accounts to ensure invoices are submitted accurately and on time
• Resolve billing discrepancies and respond to client inquiries
• Maintain organized billing records and documentation

Qualifications

• 2+ years of billing or accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry
• Experience with construction billing processes (AIA billing preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Proficiency with Excel and accounting software
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with construction accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, Foundation, or similar)
• Knowledge of lien waivers, progress billing, and job cost accounting
