Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full-cycle accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and efficient vendor payments.
- Manage and mentor a team of AR/AP specialists, setting clear goals, conducting performance reviews, and supporting professional development.
- Monitor AR aging reports and proactively follow up on overdue accounts to improve cash flow
- Review and approve payment runs (checks, ACH, wires), ensuring vendor compliance, accurate coding, and alignment with company policies.
- Resolve customer and vendor disputes, payment discrepancies, and billing issues through effective communication and cross-functional coordination.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company accounting policies, including 1099 and sales tax requirements.
- Collaborate with finance and operational teams on budgeting, cash forecasting, and month-end close activities related to AR/AP.
- Drive continuous improvement through process optimization, automation initiatives, and standardization of AR/AP workflows.
- Prepare reports and audit schedules, and support both internal and external audits.
- Contribute to ERP system enhancements and lead documentation of standard operating procedures for AR/AP functions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in AR/AP, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and deliver results under pressure.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial reporting tools.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Compensation Range: $105,000 - $125,000/ annual salary
