We have an outstanding job opportunity for a Safety Director. The ideal candidate will exhibit high standards, excellent communication skills, and have an ability to take initiative, and prioritize daily tasks. The candidate will be responsible for implementing programs and training to create a safe workplace and work towards a zero-free injury work environment.

Location: Bakersfield area| Compensation range: $80K-$95K| Exceptional Benefits Package and Daycare Benefits| Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:30pm|

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement best Safety practices for a safe work environment
• Conduct accident, injury, and physical damage investigations ensuring timely completion
• Responsible for the creation, development, and implementation of the safety curriculum
• Manage safety training programs and deliver safety training including Forklift Safety, CPR First Aid, etc.
• Monitor and document all training, maintaining record-keeping associated with safety, Environmental, and Health requirements
• Safety Osha, CUPA logs, and reporting
• Investigate, review and analyze occupational incidents and worker’s compensation claims to identify roof of cause and recommend preventative options

Qualifications

• Ability to present material clearly and engage the audience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multitask
• Develop safety programs
• 5+ years experience in food manufacturing  or related field
• Ability to interact with all levels and foster a teamwork relationship

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health; Safety Science; Environmental Science; Engineering or a related field is preferred
