Location: Selma area| Compensation: $90K-$110K plus 10% Bonus| Benefits: Exceptional Benefits| 401K| Pension Plan 5%-15% Contribution| Holiday pay and sick days| Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm  (In-Office)

This position is responsible for analyzing and improving manufacturing processes in cooperation with various departments, managing all production and critical MySQL database environments as well as troubleshoot and resolving issues related to the database system’s availability and performance, and maintaining various Plant Floor Applications (PFC). The candidate will also be responsible for analyzing business requests, developing, and programming stored procedures, and reports, and performing database design using various database tools, within SQL Server and MySQL.

Responsibilities:

  • Active in all phases of new system development: planning and analysis, design, development, and testing
  • Gather and analyze data to identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks in the production process
  • Develop and implement solutions to improve production efficiency and reduce waste
  • Collaboration with IT staff to ensure that production systems are integrated and functioning properly
  • Maintains application performance and scalability; focus on performance tuning SQL queries, table design, indexing, query plan analysis
  • Develops and maintains technical documentation and operational procedures for area of responsibility.
  • Enhance individual and team performance by creating a climate of consistent and continuous learning (promote new ideas, conduct knowledge sharing)
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, industry, company, or customer requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in the administration, operation, and performance tuning of MySQL or other databases.
  • This individual must be proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • This person will need to possess proven problem-solving tools/methods, goal-setting, planning, and training skills
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable with facilitating teams/groups
  • Sound, consistent decision-making ability is a must for this individual
  • Strong ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and motivate others
  • Strong Time Management skills
  • Ability to work with a high level of autonomy
  • Prior experience with SQL or Python preferred

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree
