The Transportation Controller is responsible for overseeing and managing all financial aspects of the transportation division. This includes, but is not limited to, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations. Location: Fresno area| Compensation: $80K-$130K| Benefits: Exceptional Benefits| Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm|

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and cost analyses, and provide recommendations for cost savings and profitability improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Manage and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
  • Oversee the preparation of tax returns and regulatory reports.
  • Collaborate with the transportation division and other departments to identify and resolve financial and operational issues.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial information and support to senior management, division managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Mentor, train, and develop financial staff to ensure the department’s ongoing success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • McLeod Software preferred experience with Implimentation
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in financial management, including experience in the transportation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and tax regulations.
  • Experience with financial systems and software, including ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a team and drive results.
