Are you an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a hands-on role? A well-established and growing company in Madera, CA is seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to take ownership of the day-to-day accounting functions and help maintain the financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle full-cycle bookkeeping, including GL entries, bank reconciliations, and journal entries
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable with accuracy and timeliness
- Manage payroll processing and related reporting
- Prepare monthly financial statements and assist with year-end closing
- Maintain accurate records of fixed assets, depreciation, and inventory
- Reconcile credit card and bank statements
- Assist with budgeting, cash flow tracking, and financial analysis
- Collaborate with external CPA for tax preparation and audits
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards
Requirements:
- 3–5+ years of full-charge bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks highly preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
