Job Position: Accounting Manager

Location: Hanford, Ca

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Salary: $110K-$125K

Job Summary: 

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Accounting Manager to lead the accounting operations and prepare for advancement into the Controller role within 12 months. This is a growth-focused opportunity for a CPA with a strong background in financial statement auditing and a passion for building scalable financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability.
• Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Support external audits and ensure timely and accurate audit deliverables.
• Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements.
• Prepare to assume full Controller responsibilities within 12 months.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred).
• Active CPA license (required).
• Minimum of 2 years of financial statement auditing experience (public accounting or internal audit).
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
