Salary: $85,000 per year
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tax Accountant to join a dynamic team at a well-established construction company in Fresno. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial success of our organization by ensuring compliance with tax regulations and optimizing tax strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Compliance: Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for the company and its subsidiaries, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Tax Planning: Assist in developing and implementing tax strategies to minimize liabilities and take advantage of available credits and deductions.
- Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and support during tax audits, addressing any inquiries from tax authorities.
- Regulatory Updates: Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the company’s operations and advise management accordingly.
- Financial Reporting: Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate tax-related entries in financial statements and reports.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline tax processes and improve efficiency within the department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
