Job Title: Staff Accountant

Pay: $65-75K

Location: Fresno, Ca

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
• Review and process journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
• Prepare and assist with tax filings and compliance, including sales tax and other local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for cost reduction or process improvements.
• Support audits by preparing schedules and documentation as requested by auditors.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in developing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Provide support in special projects, as needed, including system implementations and process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar accounting role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
