Job overview
The Senior Customer Service Representative acts as the first line of contact for customers and others reaching out to MEC corporate offices. Accomplishes department and company objectives through assigned customer service activities. Serves customers and supports the sales team by providing information, responding to requests, identifying, and escalating problems for resolution.
Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:
- Maintain customer relationships by responding to inquiries and documenting actions.
- Support the ordering process at all checkpoints from quoting through delivery confirmation.
- Maintain customer records by updating information in files and systems.
- Support customer service tracking and reporting files as assigned.
- Support customers and sales team with all aspects of order inquiry, quoting, order confirmation, order status, etc. to ensure accurate processing of sales prospects and sales orders.
- Provide back-up support for administrative functions as required.
- Work cross functionally with other departments (e.g., Shipping, Accounting, Engineering, etc.) to support customer inquiries and order processing.
Skills and Qualifications: - 5+ years customer service experience preferred.
- Executes tasks in a professional manner while maintaining a detailed-oriented focus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing department needs and a fast-paced environment.
- Performs well under deadlines and can manage multiple responsibilities.
- Effectively organizes various priorities with strong time management skills.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
- Education – Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
