Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, and providing support for financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- Coordinate and assist with audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff.
- Continuously improve accounting processes and procedures for efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
