Job Description: As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Reconciliation: Perform and oversee complex reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Manage the general ledger, including posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Month-End and Year-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all tasks.
- Audit Support: Coordinate and support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and analysis to support decision-making.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of GAAP.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
