Job Title: Senior Accountant

Pay: $80-90K

Location: Fresno, Ca

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and other financial reports prepared by junior staff.
• Lead the preparation of financial reports for management, providing analysis and recommendations for business improvements.
• Perform complex account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded properly.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS, etc.) and relevant tax regulations.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Manage tax filings and ensure compliance with sales tax, income tax, and other relevant reporting requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Mentor and train junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and help drive business decisions.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency within the accounting department.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an accountant, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS) and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
