Payroll Specialist – $25-30/hr. – Fresno, CA.

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Calculate wages, overtime, and deductions.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports.
• Handle payroll inquiries and resolve any discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure accurate employee data.
• Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and distribution.
• Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes, laws, and regulations.
• Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
