Job Position: Manual Bookkeeper
Salary: $70K
Location: Fresno, CA
Job Type: Temporary
Key Responsibilities:
- Record Transactions: Manually record and track all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
- Reconcile Accounts: Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable/receivable, and other financial records to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain Financial Ledgers: Update and maintain the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers manually.
- Prepare Financial Reports: Compile and produce manual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Monitor Cash Flow: Track and manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for business operations.
- Expense Management: Maintain accurate records of business expenses and ensure proper documentation.
- Invoice Processing: Manually generate and record customer invoices and payments received.
- Payroll Assistance: Assist with processing payroll, ensuring accurate record-keeping and deductions.
- Audit Support: Assist with audits by providing necessary financial records and documentation.
- Compliance: Ensure financial records comply with company policies and applicable regulations.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
- 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred.
- Experience with manual bookkeeping processes and maintaining accurate financial records.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Additional Qualifications:
- Familiarity with payroll and tax compliance is a plus.
- Experience with manual financial reconciliations and ledgers is highly preferred.
