About the Opportunity
We’re partnering with a reputable financial services firm in Fresno that is expanding its accounting team. They’re seeking a Loan Accountant who is analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing loan portfolios and related accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile loan general ledger accounts
• Record loan disbursements, payments, interest accruals, and amortizations
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual loan-related financial reports
• Collaborate with loan servicing and finance teams to resolve discrepancies
• Assist with audits and regulatory reporting as needed
• Monitor loan covenant compliance and reporting deadlines

Qualifications

• 4+ years of loan accounting experience, preferably in banking or lending
• Strong understanding of loan accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems)
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
