Job Title: Cost Accountant
Location: Fresno, CA
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $60,000 – $80,000 per year

Responsibilities:

• Collect and analyze data about the company’s operational costs.
• Set standard costs of manufactured goods.
• Develop and analyze cost standards.
• Carry out cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis.
• Establish costs of business processes such as administration, labor, shipping, etc.
• Perform account reconciliations.
• Prepare audit reports and present findings to management.
• Recommend changes to the company’s processes and policies to reduce costs and maximize profit.
• Advise executives and upper management on appropriate costing based on financial data.
• Manage the company’s balance sheet and accounting books.
• Support other company accountants with invoicing and capital expenditure.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a cost accountant or similar role.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Excellent knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
