Position Overview: As the Controller, you will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for overseeing all financial operations within our manufacturing division. You will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy, ensuring robust financial controls, and driving operational efficiency. This position demands a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and a proven track record of financial leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Leadership:
    • Lead the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to senior management.
    • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s growth objectives and operational goals.
    • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Manage the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop realistic and achievable budgets.
    • Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Cost Management:
    • Analyze manufacturing costs and variances, providing actionable insights to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
    • Implement cost control measures and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production costs.
  • Internal Controls and Compliance:
    • Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
    • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, including SOX, and lead internal and external audit processes.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
    • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of the finance team.
  • Strategic Partnerships:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, supply chain, and sales, to drive strategic initiatives and support business objectives.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team, providing financial insights and guidance on key business decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, with a strong background in manufacturing.
  • Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and cost management.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and other relevant financial regulations.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; experience with SAP or Oracle is a plus.
