Are you an experienced financial leader looking to take full ownership of accounting operations? A dynamic and growing organization in Fresno, CA is seeking a Controller to oversee the company’s accounting functions, ensure financial accuracy, and support strategic decision-making at the executive level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting operations including GL, AP/AR, payroll, and cost accounting
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, providing strategic financial insights
- Develop and implement internal controls, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Manage audits, tax filings, and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors
- Supervise and mentor accounting team members, fostering a collaborative work environment
- Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and support capital expenditure planning
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
- Collaborate with executive leadership to support company growth and financial strategy
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA highly preferred)
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Deep understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Proven experience managing audits, budgets, and financial planning
- Proficient in ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite, Sage, QuickBooks, etc.); advanced Excel skills required
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to drive process improvements and adapt in a fast-paced environment
