Job Summary: 

The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for managing the financial operations within the company. This role involves handling administrative tasks to ensure proper financial documentation, processing invoices, and confirming the accuracy of accounting database information. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable and excellent analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.
Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
Generate reports detailing accounts payables status.
Understand expense accounts and cost centers.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable experience in agriculture industry.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
