Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist with industry experience in agriculture, manufacturing, or construction to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and providing support for various accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Transactions:

Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoice verification, coding, and payment processing.
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Manage payroll processing and related activities, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Generate and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to identify trends and variances.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, providing insights and recommendations.
Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations and accounting standards.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
Cost Management:

Monitor and analyze costs related to agriculture, manufacturing, or construction projects.
Provide cost analysis and recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce expenses.
Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.
Vendor and Client Relations:

Manage relationships with vendors and clients, ensuring timely payments and resolving any discrepancies.
Respond to inquiries and provide support related to financial transactions and records.
Maintain and update vendor and client information in the accounting system.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with other members of the finance team to ensure smooth operations and accurate financial reporting.
Assist with special projects and initiatives as needed.
Provide training and support to junior accounting staff.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as an Accounting Specialist, preferably in agriculture, manufacturing, or construction industries.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
