Job Title: Accounting Manager
Pay: $105-115K
Location: Fresno, Ca
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and review financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and timeliness.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all accounting entries are accurately recorded and deadlines are met.
- Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to support strategic business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including tax filings, and monitor changes in laws and regulations that impact financial operations.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and ensure best practices in financial management.
- Coordinate and manage external audits and ensure timely and accurate preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
- Supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
- Perform detailed variance analysis between actual and budgeted financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Ensure the accuracy of internal financial controls to protect company assets and improve financial reporting systems.
- Work closely with senior management to provide financial advice and support key business decisions.
- Monitor cash flow, ensuring the business has adequate liquidity to meet operational needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS) and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing a team, providing guidance, and fostering professional development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with different departments and present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information.
