Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support to the accounting department, with a focus on assisting accounts payable and payroll functions. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the accounting department.
- Assist with accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, vendor communication, and payment scheduling.
- Support payroll processing by collecting and verifying timekeeping information, preparing payroll reports, and ensuring timely and accurate payroll distribution.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial transactions and records.
- Perform data entry and maintain accounting databases and spreadsheets.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the accounting team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within an accounting or finance department.
- Familiarity with accounts payable and payroll processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
