Job Position: HR Director
Salary: $140-150K
Job Summary:
The HR Director will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, training and development, compliance, compensation, and benefits administration. This role will focus on building a strong company culture, improving employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations specific to the food and agriculture industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the company’s business goals.
- Talent Acquisition & Retention: Oversee recruitment efforts, workforce planning, and employee retention strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Compliance & Labor Relations: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including OSHA, FMLA, FLSA, and industry-specific regulations. Maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies and manage union/labor relations as necessary.
- Training & Development: Implement training programs to enhance employee skills, leadership development, and compliance training.
- Compensation & Benefits: Oversee competitive compensation structures, benefits administration, and employee wellness programs.
- Performance Management: Develop and manage performance review processes, employee feedback mechanisms, and succession planning initiatives.
- Employee Relations & Engagement: Foster a positive work environment by managing employee relations, conflict resolution, and engagement initiatives.
- Safety & Compliance: Work closely with the Safety Department to ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and promote a culture of safety.
- HR Technology & Data Management: Utilize HRIS and data analytics to drive decision-making and improve HR efficiencies.
- Hire, Train, and Develop the HR Department Staff: Build a high-performing HR team to support business needs and company growth.
- Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payments to employees.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of HR experience, including some time in a leadership capacity.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, safety regulations, and HR best practices.
- Proven experience in change management, organizational development, and talent management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing HRIS and other HR technology platforms.
- PHR, SPHR, or SHRM certification preferred.
