We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with Cost Accounting Experience in Farming Industry to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the cost accounting function, including inventory accounting, variance analysis, and cost control. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting and experience in the farming industry. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Controller and work closely with other members of the finance team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement and maintain cost accounting system, policies and procedures
• Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
• Work closely with operations to ensure accurate and timely inventory accounting
• Perform variance analysis and investigate root causes of variances
• Develop and implement cost control measures to optimize profits
• Develop and implement inventory control measures to optimize inventory levels
• Prepare financial reports for management, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting Assist with audits and other financial projects as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices
• Knowledge of inventory accounting principles and practices in the farming industry
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The salary for this position is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications.

Salary: $90,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
