We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Reconciliation Clerk to join our team. The Reconciliation Clerk will be responsible for assisting in the accurate and timely reconciliation of financial accounts. The ideal candidate should have a strong attention to detail, basic understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. This role requires proficiency in data entry, reconciliation processes, and the ability to identify and report discrepancies effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the reconciliation of financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
- Conduct data entry and verification tasks to support the reconciliation process.
- Compare and analyze financial documents, records, and reports to identify discrepancies or variances.
- Collaborate with team members to investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of reconciliation activities and outcomes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of improved reconciliation procedures.
- Follow company policies, accounting regulations, and industry best practices.
- Report any identified issues or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Support audit activities by preparing relevant reconciliations and documentation.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to reconciliation processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Some experience in accounting or data entry is preferred.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
- Proficiency in using spreadsheets and financial software (e.g., Excel).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Reliable and committed to meeting deadlines.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $19.00 – $23.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Bank reconciliation: 2 years (Required)
- Account reconciliation: 2 years (Required)
- Microsoft Excel: 2 years (Required)
