Description

Stardom Employment Consultants is currently seeking an Account Manager to join our Food Manufacturing clients sales team in the Central California market!

This role will be responsible for maintaining and growing our business with established customers and growing transactional business from current or not recently sold assigned customers in the Fresno marketplace. 

The successful candidate will also be responsible for coordinating all of the sales and customer service activities within the assigned accounts. This position is a growth opportunity which involves daily interaction and face-to-face customer contact as the key factors to customer growth. This position requires strong self management skills and reports to the General Manager.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Quickly builds strong relationships with contacts at all levels across a variety of functions within customer organizations but especially with purchasing decision makers; develops customer trust and confidence in Stardom Employment Consultants and its representatives

• Succeeds by understanding the goals and concepts of our business and incorporating these goals daily to achieve sales and profitability targets

• Works closely with our inside sales team, credit center, inventory managers, and other departments within the company to creatively achieve both company and customer objectives

• Keeps customers informed about industry and economic trends and Stardom Employment Consultants ability to assist customers in adapting to change

• Understands and monitors the competitive environment and provides market intelligence to sales management to help shape service center sales strategies, price levels and working capital decisions

• Increases revenue from assigned customers by selling value added services and programs; grows new business by increasing sales through profitable transactional growth

• Promotes Stardom Employment Consultants E-Commerce capabilities and other strategic initiatives

• Manages customer accounts including implementation of memorandum’s of understanding margin analysis, competitive market information and quality improvement initiatives

• Develops and implements appropriate sales and commercial programs

• Coordinates the activities of various departments to ensure appropriate overall account management and customer’s requirements are met

• Consistently manages daily call planning and execution

Position Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years previous sales experience in food service or food manufacturing industry or similar sales background / industry

• Proficiency with MS Office a must, SAP and Salesforce.com experience highly desired

• Strong business acumen with excellent customer service, interpersonal and both oral, and written communication skills; persuasive negotiation skills

• Effective problem-solving/conflict resolution skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality

• Highly motivated with a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships quickly

• Aggressive, competitive, and self-motivated attitude is essential

• Keen attention to detail with a strong aptitude for math

• Ability to work well and excel within a team or individually

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (preferably in marketing, business or a related field of study) or related experience
