Position Summary
We are excited to partner with a large, well-established organization in the General Services industry in the search for an Accounting Manager. This role will take a lead in overseeing Accounts Payable and Treasury functions, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring proven management experience, excellent technical accounting knowledge, and strong leadership skills to guide a team while streamlining processes. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day Accounts Payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations
- Manage Treasury functions, including cash flow monitoring, banking activity, and liquidity management
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing training and professional development opportunities
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities
- Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Work with external auditors by preparing schedules and supporting audit requests
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within AP and Treasury workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
- Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
