Position Summary
The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in managing financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis across multiple entities. This role will support month-end and year-end close, ensure compliance with GAAP, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and contribute to process improvements within the accounting function. This position is best suited for a detail-oriented accounting professional with a strong background in financial reporting, reconciliations, and process improvement, and who enjoys working both independently and collaboratively within a larger team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and reports for multiple entities.
- Perform and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis.
- Lead and support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting, including variance analysis and performance monitoring.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to inquiries.
- Collaborate with operations and management teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to strengthening internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience at the senior level.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Experience with month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; ERP system experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
