Key Responsibilities
Credit & Investment Loan Oversight
- Lead the credit analysis process for investment loan approvals, including borrower risk assessments, financial modeling, and covenant structuring.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate loan terms, repayment capacity, and investment viability.
- Maintain documentation and reporting for all active investment loans and credit facilities.
Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Manage account reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts.
- Provide variance analysis and strategic insights to support decision-making.
- Partner with department heads to align financial plans with operational goals.
Audit & Compliance
- Serve as the primary liaison for external audits and tax advisors.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Maintain documentation for SOX or other regulatory frameworks as applicable.
Team Leadership & Process Improvement
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Support ERP system upgrades and automation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred).
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of credit analysis, loan structuring, and financial risk assessment.
- Expertise in GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience in manufacturing or product-based industries preferred.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
