Position Summary

We are proud to partner with a prominent and well-established agricultural organization in Fresno County in the search for a strategic and experienced Corporate Controller. This is a key leadership role, overseeing the financial health of a large, multi-entity agri-business known for innovation, sustainability, and long-term growth.

As the Corporate Controller, you will be responsible for directing all accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing audits, and supporting business strategy through insightful financial analysis. This role requires a deep understanding of agricultural accounting, operational finance, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the accounting department, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger functions
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements across multiple entities
  • Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditors and financial institutions
  • Partner with executive leadership on financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Provide strategic insights and financial analysis to support operational and investment decisions
  • Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability and growth

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles
  • Strong background in agriculture, agri-business, or manufacturing industries
  • Experience with multi-entity and consolidated reporting
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex accounting functions
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
